A new mini treasure and wiring woes

I love happy mail days, especially when new little treasures arrive. The latest is a tiny basket carved from a seed, I think peach maybe? It is a little smaller than a US quarter. I bought it from Lee Vintage Works and it shipped quickly and was carefully wrapped.

I think it might go in the bathroom to hold little hand towels and a tiny soap bar.

It is nice to have something to spark my imagination with the little house, because at the moment, I’m stuck.

I’ve been trying to figure out wiring. I knew it wouldn’t be easy but it is harder than I thought. I just can’t figure out running the wires. I got frustrated and quit last weekend. I’m going to try again tomorrow. I don’t want to wallpaper and paint until I know exactly how the wiring goes. Wallpapering and painting is the fun part!

So that’s where I am. Stuck on wiring. How is your Saturday evening being spent?

    Its a fantastic basket!

We all have our bogged down moments, I m sure your spark will hit soon. I am staring at a multitude of things to put together..and not putting anything together ;P

Thanks! I've been reading about wiring and I think if I at least know where the wired things need to go, I can make holes and then wallpaper around it. Once I find what lighting fixtures I want, I can add them. I hope.
I still haven't started on it though, because like you, I have several other things to work on. So I'm doing those in the mean time.

Cara Sarah, grazie per esserti iscritta al mio giveaway!
Il tuo cestino è molto carino!
Buon proseguimento con le rifiniture della tua dollshouse!

  4. Hope the wiring is going well for you now, Sarah! I would never have the patience for that at all! 😉 xo Jennifer

You've never done wiring? Your little rooms are so wonderful though, even without it. I'm just doing it because I've wanted a lighted dollhouse ever since I was little and saw one.
