A rainy day means time for posting

I keep meaning to post something here, anything, but I keep getting bogged down.

Lately I’ve been focusing more on sending postcards to people, and finding some pen pals.

B started t-ball which is hilarious, frustrating, and exhausting. He has never really watched baseball, only football. I think that’s why whenever someone gets the ball, B tackles them and takes it away. We’re working with him on it. Even Grandma is teaching him to throw overhand when they take the recycling. He throws the plastic and cans in the bins for her.

I’ve started planning my little vegetable garden and sprouting seeds. This year I am going to have some things like lettuce and herbs, on our patio in containers. I’m trying a topsy-turvy container for jalapenos which I’ve never done before:

I’ve also rented a plot at the community garden for tomatoes, beans, carrots, and maybe even a pumpkin vine! Right now it is still bare:

But I have big plans for it.

One thing I do keep updated pretty regularly is my Instagram which you can find here: http://instagram.com/sayruh_k – that is where all of the pictures in this post came from.

Other people are addicted to Pinterest or Twitter, my social media of choice is Instagram. It is one of the only reasons I would hate to give up my smartphone. It is so easy to keep updated and I love seeing other people’s pictures.  For instance, I’ll post a picture of my garden plot and then go search for #communitygarden and see what other people are posting. It is really cool seeing what is going on in other parts of the world that is the same as what I’m doing, but different.

Well, today is a rainy day so we’re stuck inside. I think my computer time is up though. I need to work on the neglected laundry, and dishes, and figure out what’s for dinner, and bake some banana bread before the bananas get too icky.

Until the next rainy day, hope you’re all having a happy Spring! If you’re planting something this year, what are you planting? If you’re not, what is stopping you?
