We got moved, hooray!
The dollhouse survived although a few roof shingles were knocked off. I wasn’t done shingling anyway, so it isn’t too big of a deal. The bathroom wallpaper is bubbling too and I’m not sure why. I think I’m just going to have to replace it.
I adopted a new mini cat from e-bay (seller’s photo):
She is a lovely calico, signed M Holly, dated 1990 and numbered 25/100. Even before I read that, I knew she was special. I can’t wait to get her situated in the dollhouse. She still needs a name though.
Gosh. The mini house now has a pet owl, a dog, and
three four cats! Still no people though. I’m not sure it will ever have any physical people dolls though. I sort of like to imagine myself in it, to tell the truth.
While unpacking the moving boxes, I found two smaller ones that are a perfect base for my house when put together. I plan to glue them together and then either paint or paper the whole thing. It will elevate the house and also create a small yard.
Hmm, what else? Oh! I’m participating in a mini swap right now. It is a break off from the Club Little House
group and through Facebook which is neat. I’m meeting some sweet people. You can make whatever you want, there is no theme, and anywhere from 12 to 25 items (of the same thing) and you’ll get that many swaps back from other people. I was aiming for 20 little packages but since I got started, well, I’m going to be lucky to get 15 or maybe only a dozen. One of the things I’m making is tiny Halloween treat baskets and the suckers keep breaking. I started with 24 and I’m now down to 19 after the others have either gotten smashed or had their handles broken. Mini-ing with small children around is NOT easy.
Little Orion got ahold of the baskets the other night while they were drying and I had to frantically wash black paint off of him. *sighs*
Tentatively, I am making Halloween treat baskets with treats inside, Halloween door mats, and sign posts. I had other ideas too, but I think a dozen of the 3 things I mentioned is the most feasible. And realistic. Here is what I’ve designed for the doormats, using Picmonkey
I’m printing them on canvas and then sealing them with modge podge.
Let me know if you want to join the new swap group! I can add you on Facebook.
